Lit rev notes to add

Although the teaching of DA is described as sparce (ref) Courses are beginning to emerge in post graduate education dedicated to related topics such as MA in AT (ref) in apprenticeships L4 (ref) and for the workplace there are many short courses available on places like LinkedIn (ref), Microsoft and blah (ref), as well as professional certification by IAAP (ref ). Resources also exist for the learning of digital accessibility, such as the giants of Microsoft support (ref), Goggle (ref) and Apple (ref), so digital accessibility is clearly acknowledged as a recognised education and necessary distinction or set of skills in our society. To feed into these disciplines and contextualise the need for digital accessibility in society, education plays a crucial role, yet at present the use and engagement with these only appears to be applied later in the lifelong learning journey. There is a backdrop of context to relate the learning to real-life.

The profession of digital accessibility also exists to offer real-life positioning within education to emphasise the importance of these skills as well as inspire future career pathways. Jobs exist - job adverts etc. The UK disability strategy (year) called for the role of web accessibility to be formally recognised in government (ref) and these have since been developed by Government Digital Service IPPO (ref). This depth of background offers an authentic backdrop to justify and frame the teaching of digital accessibility in schools and a solid context to relate the subject across real-world contexts.

Computing curriculum paper - what is taught should relate to and be important in the real world.

Shinohara and Kawas - teachers knowledge and barriers. Barriers from other literature- check the printed papers and what I have on LO objectives papers doc.

Where taught e.g. what topics (web, hci, software dev)- then add further suggestions have been made to weave the subject into broader disciplines across the curriculum such as law, business, ethics, media and graphic design?.

Where it has been taught it is either a single course, single lesson, or embedded. Blah and blah suggest embedding throughout a course and over time has more impact and longevity for learning and applying later in the workplace. This upholds the notion that it needs to be reinforced as a topic throughout lifelong learning to have a bigger impact.

Access is not a "special need" it's a human right backed by legislation
