The vocational and societal context

Society inaccessible- social responsibility- perm, temp, sit benefits- beyond disabilities digital accessibility benefits everyone, from seeing content on screens on a sunny day to forgetting headphones, many barriers can be overcome by small changes, to images not loading due to lack of data or internet connection. Everyone benefits. To some these needs aren’t just a nice to have but vital on a daily basis. Social model

The two-fold benefits

Organisational licensing- individual licensing 

One-off training or unit doesn’t have long term impact, but embedded and reinforced throughout does. A tool to dip in and out of to refresh knowledge or get a reference/guide on-demand is useful. As an academy it’s CPD with CPD accreditation - digital badges.

Learning in the workplace is add-hock

Learners can use it as a reference tool- QR codes on walls in classroom or staff rooms. Merchandise set - awareness campaigns materials.

Teachers not always confident to teach it, so having a tool to support both them and their learners is helpful as a supporting toolkit 

Tutorial framework mandatory learning 

Recognised baseline qualification/ certification/CV - we are a learn to enable digital for everyone employer/educator 

Access for free- or advanced to take advantage of certificates - send in assignments/assessment for accreditation. Foundational awareness of DA.

Small modular and bitesize- spread it over the academic year. 

Demonstrate it in work to add extra acknowledgement- exam boards add it as framework to reference in unit specifications - earn learn to enable credits
