Calendar image and story suggestion - each month make one item of digital accessibility a focus, e.g. 

What are captions?

Where do we need them in education (teacher/student) - content creation and finding learning resources.

Why are they important? 

What else other than captions (sound and visuals) - videos with just music not good for VI. Transcripts and their benefit for everyone. Think about it, can you hear all the content and can you see all of content?

Tools that add captions/collect transcripts 

Students do a video - captions are important for many reasons - most people now use captions as everyday.

Resources to help turn captions on in various tools, when captions need to be checked and examples.

Where this can be reinforced in teaching, added by default, choosing videos, creating videos, ‘I’ve kept the captions on’ - think of when you could use and reinforce this.

Text taken from original proposal to unpack/expand: The barriers and ‘unlearning’ highlighted during SCULPT were potentially framed by prior complex  beliefs and understandings and ‘unlearning’ or ‘retrofitting’ skills (Youngblood, 2010). As Gu (2010, p.340) explains “a large part of human and professional knowledge can hardly retain its original meaning when it is divorced from the contexts in which it was constructed and produced.” This made me consider that these skills should potentially be taught at the point these original meanings are constructed and that happens at a much younger age.
