Planning activities for different topic areas

Planning of a taster activity so people to take away some activities and handouts to teach students about digital accessibility.

I want to put people in pairs or groups to consider how it fits in certain subject areas, e.g. put them into groups of adult social care, business, art and design and travel and tourism to identify how digital accessibility impacts that subject area.

Get them to present back ideas and essentially tell them their ideas could end up in the learn to enable website in terms of examples to show learners. Off the back of it people might use the site with learners, as well as use the poster.

Inspired by the Hassell posters, but specifically for subject areas, topics or where it’s relevant in professions.

Accessibility is everywhere and is the responsibility of everyone.

Rationale - PHD - education as social responsibility e.g. staying safe online, cyber security, GDPR etc. why not educate the next generation about digital accessibility awareness. Everyone can play their part, colour contrast, captions, hash tags, alt text etc.

How can these industries be more digitally inclusive and accessible for customers and employees?

Think about all digital instances where accessibility might need to be considered and how it can promote inclusive practices, give examples (employing someone who needs a screen reader or with dyslexia, hearing impairments. Open up the opportunities and prevent the barriers.
